Vulnerable families were identified by active community engagement from all groups and ages including women, youth, religious scholars and community elders. 206 families received the food aid packages.

Winter Food Distribution for 120 Families in Kabul and Jalalabad, Afghanistan from 24 November to 2 December 2021.

Vulnerable families were identified by active community engagement from all groups and ages including women, youth, religious scholars and community elders. 200 families received winter food aid packages. We are planning to distribute 200 packages in 34 provinces which is a total of 6800 food relief and emergency packages. So far we have implemented our distribution in Nangarhar and Kabul provinces and our next provinces are Bamiyan, Laghman and Kapisa.

Distribution of 15000 Breads in 22 provincial districts in Kabul Capital.

So far we have distributed 7000 breads and the project is in progress. We have distributed cards to each family who can receive 5 breads daily per card.

Women Empowerment Through Education and Employment Opportunities

“From Training to Employment in six months” Program. After the regime change in August 2021, Afghan women have suffered tremendously due to joblessness and education system being halted completely. We designed this short term training for Afghan women to give them the skills in graphic design, digital marketing, web design. Our next plan is to give them internships and also link them to online companies for projects in graphics design and digital marketing. Our ultimate goal in this project is to empower and enable Afghan Women to earn decently from home. The training program is covered in six months which consists of a three-month training and three-month internship session. After the training session the qualified candidates will be immediately by ANAHO. Currently we have started two classes admitting a total of 95 students who were selected from 500 shortlisted candidates. Our plan is to increase this number to 200 students in April 2022. We plan to expand the program across Afghanistan in 34 provinces.

Scholarships for University Students

Our other project is that we have provided scholarships and financial assistance to pay the tuition fees of 20 female students in private universities. Currently we have selected the students from Salam University in Kabul and are planning to expand the program across many private universities in capital and provincial level

Child Protection and Empowerment

ANAHO has initiated Rayan, a long-term project to protect and empower orphans. Rayan is established to provide 24/7 orphan care and education to the needy orphans from families living below poverty line specially from widowed mothers. Rayan provides well-furnished hostel, education, nutrition and medical checkup service, sports entertainment and arts facilities. We plan to expand the Rayan chain of Orphan houses across Afghanistan. Currently we have admitted 100 orphans in our main branch in Kabul.
