Food Packages Distribution for 210 Vulnerable Families in Bamyan Province
05, April 2022
ANAHO was able to distribute 210 food packages for the most vulnerable families from the main city and districts. These families were targeted by the representatives of the districts and were strictly surveyed by the ANAHO team. After the survey of their homes and income, they were considered vulnerable. ANAHO was able to provide them with cash, oil, and flour.
The level of poverty at the provincial level is really concerning. A huge percentage of the people in the villages are living below the poverty line.
One of the families who receive the aid said: We were thinking of how to pass the holy month of Ramadan and how we will take our fasts. But, now we would be able to at least have something on the table once we do Iftar in the evening. |

Specialized Leadership Program |
From 15th October to 30th November 2022, ANAHO with the collaboration of Afghans for Progressive Thinking (APT), launched the Leadership Development Program for youth empowerment and engagement of these young people.
This program included ten 90-minute sessions. The participants were selected through two competitive steps: First, ANAHO and APT released the call for application forms through their social media pages and websites. The second step was a written test and an interview. Ultimately, 22 university male and female students among the 250 applications, from different universities in Kabul were admitted to the class.
The program helped the beneficiaries to learn how to influence those around them and guide them through identifying their core leadership practice and mission. Besides, the participants were university students who needed to be educated on leadership skills to be successful in further steps of their academic and professional lives. The future leaders, who participate in the sessions, benefit not only from the program, but their siblings, friends, families, and the community will be affected, too. We believe that having a stable future requires well-trained and responsive leaders. Therefore, we will continue to run more leadership programs and reach out to more students across the country with the vision of building a diverse and developed Afghanistan. |
